Women's cricket in TCC 2026

The 2026 season has been another successful and rewarding year for our Women's Cricket section, with strong performances across all three adult teams and some outstanding individual achievements.

We once again fielded three teams in the Cricket Leinster Women's Division 2, 3 and 4 competitions, playing a total of 41 matches. Thanks to the excellent summer weather, only two match results were affected by rain. It was particularly encouraging to see the continued improvement across the teams as players progressed through the season's training programme.

Our W2 team finished the campaign in excellent form, winning six of their final eight matches. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our coaches for their commitment and contribution to the development of our players.

Player Milestones and Achievements

Several players reached significant career milestones in the

Cricket Leinster Women's competitions this season:

Sarah Prendergast surpassed 1,000 career runs.

Rebecca Cleary, Rosa Bell-Megaw and Georgia Duke

each reached the milestone of 50 wickets.

Congratulations to all four players on these fantastic achievements.

Cricket Leinster Awards

We are delighted to announce that two of our players have received Cricket Leinster awards for their performances this season. Their achievements will be recognised at a gala dinner in the Mansion House.

Georgia Duke secured two bowling awards, winning both Division 2 and Division 3. She took 16 wickets in Division 2 and 24 wickets in Division 3, with best bowling figures of 4/17 and 4/13 respectively.

Susan McKeown claimed the Division 4 batting award, finishing with an impressive average of 63.67 runs across her 10 matches, including a highest score of 85 not out.

Congratulations to Georgia and Susan on their well-deserved recognition.
