Hi all,

Although it is the off season for Cricket, the Cricket Committee have been busy working on getting ready for the new season.  I just wanted to give you an update on a few things that we’ve been working on. 

Our annual Christmas Tree collection fundraiser will take place this year on the 10th and 11th of January.  This is our main annual fundraiser and is a vital source of income for the Club.  Could I ask that people try and come down and help out for even a few hours if they can.  

Indoor nets are booked in St Mary’s in Rathmines for 6 weeks starting on the 7th of February from 12-3 pm.  The current intention is that the Women’s teams will start at 12 pm with the men’s at 1.30 pm. 

We have lodged our application with the Department for grant funding for the new nets project and are hoping to start the work in early Spring and the new nets should hopefully be ready for the new season.

We are working on signing a Women’s and Men’s pro again next season.  We’re hoping to be able to make an announcement about this shortly.

The cricket section AGM will be held on the evening of Friday 20th February.
